Thoth Metrics

Privacy policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

This policy explains how the Thoth Metrics app and this website handle your data. In short: your meeting audio never leaves your computer.

Who we are

The details of the company responsible for your data will be added here before this policy is published.

Summary

  • Meeting audio is recorded and stored only on your computer and is never sent to any server.
  • Transcription runs entirely on your computer.
  • The only meeting content sent to our server is the transcript you approve, and only when you start the analysis.
  • Meeting names are never sent to our server.
  • This website uses Google Analytics only if you accept cookies.

Recordings and transcription

Recordings of your microphone and your computer’s system audio are stored only on your device. They are never sent to any server.

Transcription is done entirely on your device with the open-source Whisper model (whisper.cpp).

Recordings are deleted from your device when you approve the transcript. Before approval, you can delete a meeting completely.

The names you give your meetings stay on your device and are not sent to our server.

Your account

To use the app, you create an account with your email address. We store your email address on our server to provide your account, email verification and password reset.

Productivity analysis

When you start an analysis, the transcript you approved is sent to our server over TLS. Nothing from the transcript is sent before you approve it.

A language model only turns the transcript into structured data. The data sent to the language model is not used for model training. Productivity scores are calculated by an algorithm we wrote, which gives the same result every time.

Where and how long we keep data

  • Our backend runs in a single EU region (Azure, West Europe), and your data stays in that region.
  • The transcript text is deleted from our server 30 days after the analysis is complete. The analysis result is kept.
  • If you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
  • Database backups are kept for 7 to 14 days.
  • Logs and monitoring records contain no transcript text or other personal content.

Waitlist

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, the language of the page you used and, if you choose to tell us, which computers you use (macOS, Windows or Linux).

We store this information in Google Sheets, a service provided by Google. It may be stored on Google’s servers, including in the United States.

We use this information only to email you about the launch of Thoth Metrics and to understand which platforms our visitors use. You can ask us to remove your email address from the waitlist at any time.

Analytics and cookies on this website

If you accept cookies, this website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, for example which pages are viewed, the type of browser and device, and the approximate location. This information may be transferred to Google, including to servers in the United States.

If you reject cookies or don’t make a choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page.

Your theme and cookie choices are saved in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your personal data, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can object to its use and withdraw a consent you gave at any time. To use these rights, contact us at the address above. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
